Get Your Head in the Right Space
Imagine for a moment that it’s 10 years from now and you’re still procrastinating about investing into your health and wellbeing. This wouldn’t be that motivating now would it…
This is why I love to tell my clients to get out during the week and the weekends, this has worked for me over the years, by taking up new hobbies’ such as kite surfing for example, I could be having a challenging day, I would then get out in the water and wipe all the negative thoughts and leave them out behind me.
Stress-not an option
Dealing with stress, it’s a survival tactic but too much of anything will be detrimental. It’s important to discern when you are dwelling on something for too long and you get to a point where stress starts to take over your day, it will cause all sorts of weird stuff to happen to you if you don’t control your emotions.
Napping: It’s not just for cats
If you are not getting enough sleep in the night, there is no reason why you can’t have a nap during the day. If for example you are up before 5am, have a noisy neighbourhood or have young children that prevent you from getting enough sleep during the night, napping will give you that energy, focus and productivity you need for an active life.
Mix it up, get fresh again
Let me share something that has worked for me and many others over the years, a photographer looking to keep he’s passion for photography but he never invests into new equipment or courses to further he’s knowledge and keep the passion and drive in the industry that he’s in.
Can you imagine now not having trained for a length of time because life got in the way and you were bored with the same type of training you did over many years, only to comeback to train with exactly the same mentality and style of training that initially got you to quit in the first place?
That my friend is insanity at its finest and I see it happen all the time.
Guess what happens not long after your comeback?
You’ll quit again.!
Get adequate sunlight
We know the dangers to excessive sun exposure and how heavily promoted media will promote tons of sunscreen creams and sprays for you to wear every time you step outside. Smart exposure to sunlight helps our bodies manufacture vitamin D, which has many benefits, such as disease prevention, healthy teeth, bone strength, nails and immune function just to name a few benefits.
There you have it, follow these simple hacks to start feeling better, functioning better during the day and performing at an efficient and optimum level each and every day.
